Madhav Haridas Quartet
Born out of a deep exploration of global sounds and spiritual growth, Madhav is a French jazz saxophonist and bansuri player whose music transcends geographical and cultural borders.
Having spent over 15 years living in India, Madhav immersed himself in the rich traditions of both North and South Indian classical music. During this transformative and extended period, he began playing the bansuri (Indian bamboo flute) intensively, weaving its soulful resonance into his core musical identity alongside his roots in jazz.
Madhav's original compositions are the direct reflection of his life’s journey and spiritual evolution. His music serves as a profound bridge, seamlessly connecting the musical spheres and traditions of India, the Middle East, the Balkans, Afro-grooves, and the improvisational heart of Jazz.
The New Album
Madhav is currently releasing his highly anticipated new album in collaboration with Toot Records. Introduced by its debut single, "Rasvati," the project captures a sound that is both expansive and deeply intimate.
Recorded live-in-the-room with his phenomenal quartet, the new album is a testament to the group's profound musical chemistry. It is a work full of magic, showcasing the unique spirit and artistic vision that Madhav brings to the contemporary world-jazz scene.
